Celebrated American mugham player Jeffrey Werbock shoots the children in a camp for internally displaced people (İDP). They delight him by maintaining ancient Azerbaijani mugham traditions despite the life in the most difficult conditions. After returning to the USA and reviewing the footage, Jeffrey becomes impressed by a young teenager singing passionately about the loss of his homeland that he returns to Azerbaijan after 8 years. He needs to find out if the children he met in 2000 still sing and play mugham, and if the new rising generation continue their interest in their immense cultural mugham heritage. His fascinating quest begins.
